Traverse on Indiegogo

Happy Back Story

Traverse & Indiegogo

Most back stories are tragic, but this one’s happy! Traverse was first launched through an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign in June 2016. The idea came from poet Jacqueline Gabbitas who (way back in the previous January) called on help from poetry friends to develop a new way of publishing contemporary poetry alongside long loved poets such as Shakespeare and Blake. Traverse (short for trading verse) was born. It reached its goal (of £830) with donations from poetry lovers all over the UK, and continues to go from strength to strength. #PutAPoetInYourPocket

Our Indiegogo campaigned reached its goal of £830 and is still going strong. One of the backers donated £180, with many others donating between £5 and £67. Thank you all!

I absolutely love your Traverse cards – what an original and beautiful idea.

You can still support us!

Even though we’ve reached our goal, you can still help us to raise as much as we can. All funds will go back into Stonewood Books and Traverse cards.
